A wonderful holiday in a perfect location. Half of me wants to tell everyone I meet about this place the other half wants to keep this a secret just for us. It is not a question of “if” we will be back simply “When” we will be back. Recommend the beach at San Juan for young Children, sheltered, quiet, good sand for digging!

Almeria’s much needed rain came during our week, but the cottage and the countryside remained beautiful and welcoming. It’s a hidden gem among the regions urbanisations. Thank you for all your help.

The live action show is brilliant, and the wildlife park was an unexpected treat with interesting animals and excellent enclosures. And for Sergio Leone fans visit Los Albar Icoques in the Cabide Gata Park, its still as it was during the filming.

30th September 2007 - 5th October 2007
We were here only for a few days but we really have enjoyed it, even thought we could not experience the beautiful pool because of the shortness of our stay and the mixed weather, it was very nice to be at this lovely and peaceful place. On the other hand there is quite a lot to see even if it does not look like at the first moment. So the caves in Sorbas are quite impressive (Tip: Take the long tour) and of our the lovely bays with there wide sandy beaches and rocky cliffs are wonderful.

We needed tranquillity, light, warmth and rest. This wonderful and beautifully built house, pool and garden far surpassed all our expectations. Serenity, peace of mind, restoration of body and soul is what the magic is. The photos on the internet give no real indication of the true depth of the beauty of this place. Although we visited Mojacar, and the beaches of Cabo de gaba, this, here relaxing round the pool is where we kept wanting to be. Kathryn is a kind, sensitive and generous hostess.

The children enjoyed it. This has got to be one of our nicest views and balconies we’ve sat on. Beautiful place in the mountains! We feel really chilled, would recommend.

Many thanks for your great hospitality we really enjoyed our stay at your fantastic cottage. An excellent relaxing and tranquil holiday all round (or as much as it can be with an 8 year old and a 4 year old!)
We’re sure we’ll be back again and having the pool to ourselves was great, especially swimming at night with the pool lights on!
Going back to work is going to be sooo difficult!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage with its outstanding views! Kathryn is an excellent hostess and went out of her way to ensure our visit was entirely memorable. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer but we are very much looking forward to our next visit.

We had  really relaxing and lovely holiday, the photos on the web don’t do the place justice, a beautiful place and fantastic surroundings. Terry and Cathy were great hosts, thank you for all your help plus passing on lots of interesting and useful information. We’re all really chilled, shame we have to go back to work tomorrow!

We have had a great stay!! Beautiful villa, peace and quiet, friendly hosts and magnificent views, what more can one ask for.

Things we enjoyed doing;

Cycling the Bedar - Serena circular route. (Be ready to sweat!)

Trip to Cabo de Gata - Nijar national park, nice coastal scenery.

The leg of lamb in the local restaurant in Bedar (Miramar) was a tasty challenge!
